Impression of the election campaigns for the House of Representatives of 1977. Polygoon on election tour with the party leaders of the CDA, D'66, PPR, CPN, VVD and PvdA. SHOTS: - CDA party leader Van Agt receives catcalls at an election gathering in Nijmegen, a woman in the audience shouts "You are a hypocrite dick", followed by applause and cheering; election banner with the text 'Van Agt you will never be raped. You don't just get an abortion.'; - election poster PPR with the text 'Vote for a woman'; - posters from different political parties stuck to a board. STATEMENTS: - CDA party leader Dries van Agt in Oss (on keeping jobs and the protecting of human life) and Nijmegen where he stops his election speech after protester disrupt the meeting; - D'66 party leader Jan Terlouw; - PPR party leader Ria Beckers at an informal political meeting in a bar in Breda (with a plead for a basic income for everyone); - CPN party leader Marcus Bakker about the cooperation with other left-wing parties; - VVD party leader Hans Wiegel in Utrecht about the CDA: "I did not use the term 'random bunch' for the CDA! But it is true nonetheless!"; - PvdA party leader Joop den Uyl following an interview in a weekly in which Van Agt said he preferred cooperating with the VVD in stead of the PvdA: "Mister Van A. answers as following." followed by laughter from the audience.
